Yes. The Limitation Act, 1908 prescribes time limits for almost every kind of suit, and a suit filed out of time can be dismissed on that ground alone. Seek advice early.
Where will my case be filed in Karachi?
It depends on the subject and its value. Many suits are filed in the Civil Courts, but suits above the pecuniary limit fall within the original civil jurisdiction of the Sindh High Court at Karachi.
